My First Kiss in Malaysia

So, today is Saturday, and I worked a bit in the morning, and then adventured out to the Mid Valley Mall, a short bus ride to the Komuter Train Station, and a 45 minute train ride into the mall. It’s a huge mall, so I spent about 6 hours there.

I browsed through a gigantic bookstore! Almost bought a map, but decided against it. Bought a skirt from the Factory Outlet Store. Laundry soap and a toothbrush from the supermarket. (Am I the only person who calls it a supermarket??)

Now, for the deep thoughts from today…
1. Why are there so many dogs in Chile and so many cats in Malaysia? Opposite sides of the world? Is it like apples and oranges? Cats and dogs? And you’d think, wouldn’t you, that if there are so many cats here, there wouldn’t be any rats~!!!!!! But, NOOOO! What are they doing roaming around, looking for flies?? I haven’t seen 1 dog in Malaysia yet, just cats!

2. The first kiss in Malaysia--I know you’re all wondering, and some of you may have skimmed through just looking for this part! I woke up this morning with a small bite on my lip. It’s nothing major, but it appears a mosquito got the first kiss in Malaysia! (It has been hard not to kiss people here in Malaysia. Habits are hard to break!)

3. You can’t always judge a fruit by it’s appearance, likewise with people. Those that look the best, might not necessarily be the best! The fruit salad I ate at lunch at the mall today contained watermelon, pineapple, honeydew, and a BEAUTIFUL starfruit. (I’m not sure of it’s official name, but it has a great shape and appearance.) Unfortunately, it had the worst flavor of the whole bunch. “Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Oddly enough, with the help of the starfruit, this verse came to my mind.
