When we were in the US, I bought this knife at Ross. It is magical. I love it. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys the kitchen, and if you don't enjoy the kitchen, perhaps with this knife, you will! It looks like it is made of plastic, but it is the sharpest knife I've ever used. And it is deceptively not sharp-looking. I am especially fond of it for cutting onions and tomatoes. I can't remember exactly how much I paid, but I think it was around $6. So worth it. It comes with a plastic case for the blade. And it is the KUHN RIKON brand.
While I'm at it, my can opener made by the same brand, which is Swiss, is also extraordinary. It takes the lid off a can without leaving ANY sharp edges. It is incredible. Here is the link to the website where you can see a video of how it works. http://www.kuhnrikon.com/products/tools/tools.php3?id=66&show_tab=2#tab_loc
I love good kitchen gadgets.
